At CanapeMe we do things a little bit differently. We've come together to revolutionise how you cater for your weekend get-togethers and that means evolving to bring you sophisticated catering that will keep the fussiest of eaters happy.

Our new Heat & Eat range has been delicately designed with specific instructions for each platter to be reheated to the perfect serving temperature so your guests will fall in love with our food.

All our platters come with specific instructions from reheating to refrigeration and serving.

To heat your heat-to-eat platter we recommend the following steps.

  1. pre heat your oven to 160 degrees celcius
  2. remove the plastic lining and foil sheet on the platter (take care not to rip the foil sheet)
  3. remove any plastic sauce containers that may be inside the platter. These are biodegradable and therefore, aren’t heat resistant.
  4. cover the platter with the foil sheet
  5. place the platter in your oven for 6-8 minutes, or until warm*
  6. Use a tea towel or oven mitt to take the platter out of the oven. Remove foil lining, open sauce containers and place them back inside the platter
  7. present the platter to your guests and most importantly, enjoy!

*Please note: Our platters are made from corrugated board and must not be directly exposed to open flame or heating elements. Gas ovens, or ovens with an open flame, are not recommended for use to reheat our platters.

In the case where gas ovens are the only option for reheating, we recommend removing canapés from the platter, placing them on a baking tray (with baking paper) and covering them with foil to ensure quality is maintained and food does not dry. In this case, food should only be reheated for 8 minutes, or until warm.

Disclaimer: We insist customers take caution when re-heating and handling food. Upon delivery and receiving your order, customers take full ownership of the product. At this point we take no responsibility for potential hazards that may occur after delivery has been made including those due to negligence while heating or incorrect storage conditions.
